Meeting Mode — Transcribe, Summarise and Extract Action Items

· meetings, summaries, action items, productivity

Meeting notes fail for a boring reason: whoever takes them is also participating. Meeting Mode in Baani AI removes that trade-off — record or upload the audio, and get the transcript plus structured notes back.

What you get

  • Transcript — the full spoken record, chunked and stitched so length is not a limit
  • Summary — four to eight sentences on what the meeting actually covered
  • Key points — the substance, as bullets
  • Decisions — what was agreed, in the words it was agreed in
  • Action items — task, owner and deadline, with owner and deadline left blank when nobody stated them

That last rule matters. Notes that invent an owner are worse than no notes.

Supported files

MP3, WAV, M4A, WebM and MP4 all work. You can also record the meeting directly in the browser — recording rotates in short segments, so a ninety-minute session is handled the same way as a five-minute one.

Hinglish and Indian languages

Indian meetings are rarely in one language. Pick the language carrying the sentence structure and English technical terms are preserved as spoken. Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam and Punjabi are all supported — see Hindi voice typing or Assamese voice typing.

Getting good audio

  • Phone at the centre of the table, not in front of one person
  • On video calls, record from the device playing the call, or use a headset
  • Say names at the start of a topic — that is what makes owner extraction work

Exporting

Every meeting exports as TXT, Markdown or a Word-compatible document, and can be sent straight to email or WhatsApp. Paste the action items into your tracker and the meeting is closed out before people have left the room.

Editing before you send

The summary is a draft, not gospel. Read it once, fix any name the model heard wrong, add the deadline that was implied but not spoken, and then share it.
